What we're up toβ¦
This picture was taken right after we purchased this beauty we named Bertha. She is the permanent home to us, our 3 dogs, and everything we own!
June 2nd Update:
We got married!! It was on April 13th and beautiful and small and filled with close family and friends, just how we wanted it π. We set sail on our 7 day road trip and honeymoon the next day. Two nights in New Orleans, a night in Houston, two nights in Austin, a night in Amarillo, and a night in a campground near the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Mosca, CO. Then finally we rolled into our (somewhat) final destination in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Soon after we got jobs at an RV resort in Colorado Springs and about a month later we are unemployed once again! The job was just not for us and we felt work beginning to stand in the way of our dreams, just as it did in Mississippi. Can't repeat that history here in Colorado. We are parked in a beautiful spot just outside of Woodland Park, CO now with room for the dogs to run and tons of songwriting inspiration. RV living has been a beautiful and effortless dream so far and I am so grateful to experience it with Jesse. It has made us exponentially more mindful of our waste/water usage/outdoor time/and eating habits and it feels good to treat Earth a little kinder than we used to. Contrary to everyone's beliefs it is plenty of room for us! ;) We've seen some spectacular Red Rocks show since being here (Vulfpeck, Phil Lesh and Friends, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones) and have another 8-10 planned for the summer that we are counting down the minutes to. We've been steady recording our originals to hopefully release to SoundCloud soon. We spent about a month and a half from mid-April to now moving and getting married and enjoying unemployment. Which means we spent about a month and a half not playing music. While we're still knocking the dust off these days, the time off was refreshing and necessary. Today we busked in Manitou Springs and met some lovely people from the area. We planted a lot of seeds with our music today and it felt great to be back in the swing of things! Tomorrow we will record more and put in some applications for some part time work at some local eat and drinkeries. I am hoping to keep our news page up-to-date and hope you enjoy reading what we're up to. Thanks to you all β€
